London, September 3, 1939. The Second World War has just broken out. Sigmund Freud has fled Vienna with his daughter Anna Freud to escape the Nazi regime. Anna, a psychoanalyst herself, supports her father unconditionally, neglecting her own needs in the process. A few days before his death, a scholar from the College of the University of Oxford visits Freud: C.S. Lewis, who would later achieve worldwide fame with The Chronicles of Narnia. On this day, two great thinkers of the twentieth century engage in a controversial discourse about love, faith, the future of humanity, and the all-important question for them: Is there a God?
